Volunteer Initiative

Dear Northeast Ohio Student:

The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Scholarship Committee of Cleveland, Ohio, is the sponsor of the Twelfth Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Breakfast Celebration™. This event is scheduled for Monday, January 16, 2012.

We have several initiatives that are integral components of this Annual Celebration. Our most recent initiative is called “Kids 4 KING” ™. This is an opportunity for you to participate in the Breakfast Celebration as a volunteer, and provide assistance to our guests and to the Committee. Please review the details below, complete the two-page application and return it via U.S. mail no later than November 18, 2011.

“Kids 4 KING” ™ Volunteer Initiative
The Event: Twelfth Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Holiday Breakfast Celebration™

Date/Time: Monday, January 16, 2012, 6:30 A.M. – 10:30 A.M.
Location: The Marriott Hotel at Key Center 127 Public Square
                Cleveland, OH 44114
Open to: Northeast Ohio High School (Grades 6-12) Students
Your GPA: 2.5 (cumulative) or higher as of October 31, 2011
Duties: Give room directions, assist elderly guests, assist with table location, collect remaining booklets and survey forms after the Breakfast
You receive: One complimentary Breakfast Ticket,
                     a Badge/Bookmark,
                     recognition during the Breakfast,
                     a letter acknowledging your service as a volunteer,
                     a copy of the “Kids 4 KING” ™ group photo,
                     the opportunity to contribute to and continue
                           the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
